Rain Maker Of The Month

It has been awhile since I have posted and even longer since I have posted a Rain Maker of the Month but I had some free time today so I thought what the hell I bet my followers are anxious for another posting so here is is the Rain Maker of the Month for February................Kevin "the Durantula" Durant!!!! Dude is flat out killing it in the league he is even more dominant now then he was his one year in college which was ridic.......his numbers for the season are 29.6 pts, 7.5 boards and 3 dimes per all at the age of 21. He recently had a streak of 29 straight games of at least 25 points which is second most all time only behind Michael Jordan....did I mention he is only 21??? Beyond his personal stats he has the Thunder firmly planted in the playoff picture and along with Russel Westbrook, Jeff Green, James Harden and a few other key reserves has the future looking very bright for the fans in the OKC........Okay I have pulled the trigger back far enough for Portland fans......after Greg Oden is puttin up good numbers while leading the Blazers to the top of the west.......oh shit my bad.........anyways beyond dominating night in and night out and leading his team to the playoffs he has a great signature shoe that I myself rock and puts out great commercials as evident below........eat your hearts out Blazer fans!!

All Whitey Team-NCAAB Edition

Today I will unveil my All-White College Basketball Team it will consist of a starting 5 based on position and then a few reserves. Let me be clear that this is not who I think are the best white college players of all time because that wouldn't be very fun.....no no this is my personal favorites that I actually got the privilege to watch. Enjoy.

PG-Kirk Hinrich (Kansas)- Was a winner at the college level there is no denying that but the guy could play and still can in the NBA averaged 17 a game his senior yr, he also helped lead Kansas to a Final Four, after which he was drafted 7th in one of the best draft classes of all time in 2003.

SG-Luke Jackson (Oregon)- He was amazingly skilled for his size and could do it all might be a little slow to play the 2 but when you take into his offensive skill set at the college level he was virtually unguardable. He helped lead Oregon to the Elite 8 along with Luke Ridnour and Freddie Jones but in my opinion he was the most talented of that group and if it wasn't for injuries he would have been successful at the NBA level as well.

SF-Adam Morrison (Gonzaga)- Not going to lie he was and probably still is my favorite college player of all time his swagger and offensive skills that he demonstrated had me hoping and wishing that he would go to either Boston or Portland fortunately for both franchises he didn't as his game has not translated to the next level. I still think that he can be an effective scorer of the bench for someone but as long as he is burried on the LA bench we will never know......but I can still remember watching him light teams up night in and night out.

PF-David Lee (Florida)- I remember watching him win the McDonalds All American dunk contest and thinking to myself damn an athletic white big man......that's a new twist. He never really had explosive numbers at Florida but he was damn effective and he still is in the NBA he knows his role (rebound and score inside) and he does it very well getting double-doubles every night.

C-Raef LaFrentz (Kansas)- Enjoyed watching him hit outside jumpers and block shots at Kansas.....he was skilled and could do it all too bad he became injury prone and overpaid once he got into the NBA.

Reserves-

Luke Ridnour- One of my favorites wish I could have snuck him into the starting lineup but I just like Hinrich's game more.

Mike Miller-Guy can flat out stroke and I love how he has proven to be a very good NBA player beyond just shooting the 3.

Koby Karl- Watched him live a couple times in college and he single handed beat down Idaho's entire team which isn't saying a whole lot but damn it was impressive.

I left off a lot of guys either because I don't like their games (Hansbrough, Harangody) or because I never really got to watch them that much (Kaman, Brent Barry) or because I just dont think they are that good (Brad Miller, Steve Blake) but this team would be damn fun to watch might struggle on defense on the wing but with Lee and Lafrentz there to clean things up I think they would be ok.
